Work Ex in CAT

There's this anxiety among freshers that CAT selection will be difficult this time around. This because of a no. of individuals who have work ex will give it too. Some of them are out of jobs. Some of them did not get their appraisals and want to leave their jobs.

It got me thinking, if these people where really intelligent and valuable to the company, would they have been fired in the first place. I mean, the best have probably been retained by the companies to get them through this tough phase.
Why should we be scared of them when we don't even know whether they are good enough?

Secondly, can we really do anything about it? So, why worry about something that we have no control over. Rather than worrying about them, we should focus on our own preparation. Work ex does count, I agree, but so does our CAT score. What use is work ex if you can't get the score required to get a call.

So, hit the books, prepare hard. You're gonna squash all the work ex guys.

According to survey, employees who are mediocre and underperforming employees are retrenched first. So you are right that your competition will be with average employees. But remember average employees are also better than complete freshers.

You have hit the nail on the head and keep studying and that too hard...
