At the start of my vacations, I had thought of earning money through Subvert & Profit.
Through Subvert & Profit, you can earn money by social bookmarking the pages they give you.
In the beginning, you have to go through a tiresome process of creating new accounts in various bookmarking sites such as digg, delicious, mixx, newswine, diigo, myspace, propeller etc.
I don't think Subvert & Profit works because they haven't sent me a single page to digg or whatever. But, since now I have accounts in all these sites, I can easily bookmark my blog posts at these sites :)
Following up, I installed AddThis button to my posts. So everytime I post something new, I use the addthis button to bookmark my post at all these sites. Cool, huh?!
And the result is better ranking in Google Search. After I bookmarked it, my post was on the first page for "work ex cat" search.
Link building using Social bookmarking is essential for higher ranking in search results.

Yeah.. Self-promotion works wonders!! But most of these social bookmarking sites look down on self-promotion.. You are most likely to get banned and have your site blacklisted if you continue doing it... Get someone else to submit your posts to social bookmarking sites..

One important value point of social bookmarking is to have an additional method to rate the value of web pages. What matters to the social bookmarking sites is to have real people doing the bookmarking for their own personal reasons! Gaurav, you are a real person and should feel like you can bookmark any page you like. If you bookmark your own pages ONCE, that is entirely ethical and within the terms of service of most Social Bookmarking sites. Of course, I recommend strongly that you join the community and bookmark other pages you like as well. However, if you enter into any third party agreements whereby you provide compensation to those third parties to make bookmarks for you, now you are likely in violation of terms and conditions. How to decide? Read the terms and conditions for ANY website you use! The bookmarking sites that do not clear out the spam bookmarks will surely die off, because their ratings will mean nothing. One way to get your IP banned from Delicious is to setup multiple accounts yourself. Hiring someone else to make bookmarks for you is a risky business because you have no idea what tricks they will use. Did you ever hear of a website being banned from Google? The same thing can happen to your domain in Delicious if you violate their terms of service.

thanks for the insight :)... i knew about getting banned for multiple accounts that is why i just have a single account... and i bookmark other pages i like too.. not just my own..
