The 2nd hand books market opposite PU had been replaced by a small garden and a building in January, but it was only last week that I noticed the building was actually a Modern Dhobi Ghat. I went inside to check it out.
Turns out that the Modern Dhobi Ghat is a laundry place not just for dhobis but for regular people too. I was pleasantly surprised to see a coin-operated laundry machine at the place. It works on a 20 Rs. token and takes about half an hour to wash all the clothes.
I tried it out and washed a week load of dirty clothes all just for 20 bucks with Tide jaisi safedi.
Hmmm... seems like Chandigarh is progressing after all.

This is really cool... and proximity to PU is boon for students. @Rs20/- per wash, even if you wash once a week, it is cheaper than giving it to bai.
Waise how many machines are there and how about hygiene and all? Awaiting more details
There's just 1 machine. And you get the clothes back as clean as you'd get 'em from a machine at your own home.
Keep up the good work.
