The Party that almost took place...

31st October.. Halloween's Day Party.. Anitdote.. 6-10 pm.. Snacks, booze, cold drinks..
That was the party I had planned. The idea was good. The way we were gonna execute our plan was impressive too. We had planned on decorating the whole disc in the halloween theme.. from bats adn spiders to jack-o-lanterns and candy to free masks for the guests. The pass cost was a mere 250 bucks.
But, the party was not to be, today morning, Sam Miller, hte beer company, called and said that they cannot give us beer because they have a Daler Mehndi night on the same day and they could not promote a parallel event. Our backup plan, a contact in Bacardi turned out to be useless, with its office being in Delhi. All our hopes were shattered, the idea, the planning, all of it down the drain.
But, there are things I did learn from the experience.
1. Beer companies give booze for parties very easily.
2. A party can be easily planned and profited from, all you need is a good disc, nice friends with large enough social network.
3. You need to start atleast 20 days before the day you plan to do the party.
4. Socialise, increase your friend circle as much as possible, try to be friends with different types of people.
5. CorelDraw is not that difficult, I designed the poster and pass by myself. I could easily design posters for Youth 360.
